CELTIC LINKED WITH NIGERIAN PLAYER

Scottish Premiership champions Celtic are reportedly on the trail of a Nigerian player according to the latest reports in the Scottish media.Celtic are said to be interested in the Nigerian player Fatai Gbadamosi, who plays his club football for Shooting Stars in his native Nigeria. Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan plays in the second tier of Nigerian club football also known as the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The news of the Celtic interest in defensive midfielder FataiGbadamosi was first reported by media portal 90min.Celtic are not the only Scottish Premiership club in the race to sign FataiGbadamosi with arch rivals Rangers also keen to sign him. Rangers and Celtic have been fighting for supremacy in the Scottish Premiership this season though it looks like the former is proving to be unstoppable and their fight could extend to the transfer market in a bid to sign FataiGbadamosi.

FataiGbadamosi, 22, was previously in Europe with Kepezspor in Turkey before he returned to Nigeria. The player has played for the national u-23 team in the past. He’s a relatively unknown quantity but Celtic fans are used to that especially after the capture of IsmailaSoro.

Soro was relatively unknown when he signed for the Scottish champions last year but the midfielder has impressed a great deal in recent months as Celtic try to stay in touch with Rangers at the top of the table. IsmailaSoro has been one of the best players for Celtic this season and few would have expected him to reach this level of performance in a short space of time.

FataiGbadamosi is not the only Nigerian player on Celtic radar as revealed by 90min. The Scottish champions are also on the trail of striker TaiwoAwoniyi who has been amongst the goals for his club, Union Berlin in Germany. Rangers are also interested in him. TaiwoAwoniyi is on loan from Liverpool and he has scored five goals in 13 games in the German Bundesliga.
