Predicted Celtic Starting XI To Take On Aberdeen

Celtic manager Neil Lennon is currently getting his team ready as they prepare to take on Aberdeen in their next league clash. The manager lost defender Stephen Welsh to an ankle injury who sat out his side's victory over St Johnstone at the weekend. He picked up the injury against St Mirren last week and was stretchered off the pitch as a result.

The center-back is now hoping his manager will keep to his word and reinstate him in the starting XI upon his return from the injury against Aberdeen. He is expected to recover in time for their next league clash against rivals Aberdeen given that his injury was eventually discovered to be not as bad as first feared.Ahead of Celtic playing against the Don's on Wednesday night, Lennon promised Welsh that he will be
retaining his spot in the starting team despite the injury, and the defender will be looking forward to his
head coach sticking to his word.
Lennon says he is assuring his center-back of his spot after putting in a run of fine performances since
the turn of the new year. According to the manager, Welsh has done very well recently and he's been
pleased with him as a result. When asked if the defender would be losing his spot to a teammate, the
manager said when he returns to the team, he won't be missing any games because he has deserved it.
Celtic are expected to return to their favored 4-4-2 formation for the Aberdeen tie following Albian
Ajeti's return to the team after he was granted a rest in Perth. He should be joined by Stephen Welsh as
they will be looking to come out of the game with a win.
Predicted Celtic XI vs Aberdeen: Bain, Kenny, Ajer, Welsh, Taylor, Brown, McGregor, Turnbull, Christie,
Edouard, Ajeti.
