CELTIC TO BATTLE LEICESTER FOR DAWSON

Celtic would have to battle Premier League side Leicester City for the rights to Craig Dawson, as per reports. Manager Brendan Rodgers is taking no chance in his team especially regarding defensive lapses. The Marvin Compper injury situation is forcing the top Scottish side look towards reinforcements.

Dawson is versatile so he appeals a lot to Celtic. The 28-year old player has reportedly handed in a transfer request so he could exit West Brom. Rodgers would be hoping to use the opportunity to seal the deal with the experienced defender.

Celtic are hoping to add a player but not lose their current stars. Kieran Tierney has been linked with a move to Premier League new boys Fulham but the Hoops are denying such links. Other top sides in England and abroad are interested in the player but the club continues to maintain that they are not selling this summer. The Scotland international continues to rise in profile as many sides scout and approve him for deals but Celtic are having none of that.

The Hoops have confirmed the addition of Jack Larkin from Waterford. The 18-year old was a highly rated youngster so he could be joining the development squad after agreeing to a three year contract.

Rangers, on the other hand, are reported to be considering raising their offer for Kyle Lafferty. The £200,000 bid was outrighly thrown out so offers in the range of £300,000 to £400,000 are expected to come in next. However, the Jambos would be holding out for half a million pounds.

The Hearts striker scored 19 goals in all competition last season so the club would be looking to maximize their chances. Coach Steven Gerrard is keen on the deal as well as a central defender to boost his ranks ahead of the new season.
